Once they were set up, Helena turned to look at Leon with a shake of her head. Most guys she was friends with usually paid attention. Not Leon, apparently.
She took a few slow first bites of the slice of pizza in her hand. “Yeah yeah, good. We need a win or we’re not in the finals.” Of course, she didn’t bother to mention why she had such an involved interest in the football team aside from a sense of school pride, but that was beyond the point.
Leon simply wasn’t a man of sports. He got a lot of crap about from around campus whenever it is something he just so happens to mention. A few points for a few teams he didn’t care about meant nothing to him. But it was fun to watch how worked up the ones around him got.
“And boy, if we lost… Wouldn’t it just be a shame.” He replied with a sarcastic little snicker and a roll of his eyes. Slouching into the couch comfortably as he took a sip of his beer. “Why do you suddenly care about the school sports anyway? Got a crush on the team or somethin’?’’

“Damn right it is. Leftover pizza for breakfast is the best.” A grin found full lips as she stood, grabbing paper towel and the plates from the cupboard so they could take what they wanted and go sit on the couch.
She took the offered beer, opening it and taking a good first sip before taking the three slices to start. “Is the game on yet? Gotta see if we can get into the finals.”
’Couldn’t agree more.’ Once the beer was out of his hand it was grabbing one of the plates Helena had fetched from the cupboard. Grabbing a few pieces of the fresh steamy pizza to start with. A slender finger pop the top of his beer open with a satisfying hiss.
’I don’t keep up with the sports around here, you know that, Helena.’ He pause, frowning at his beer as he sipped it. ’Checked it away because we’re friends— it’s just starting. Doing there prep up and what not.’

Carrying the box of hot, fresh, delicious pizza between her hands, she makes her way up the flights of stairs before opening the already unlocked door. She makes quite the beeline for the kitchen, setting it down on the counter before flashing her roomate a smile.
“Wah bam.”
’Oh my goodness, would you look at that. It’s a large.’ He mused, smirking over at the younger woman, ’I knew we became roommates for a reason.’
A sound of amusement exhaled from his lips as he extended a arm towards her. A chilled can of beer in his hold, while the other was already opening the warm box. Evidently eager to dig into the hot n’ ready pizza.
