Looking into his face felt strangely odd. In person it was a much different experience than sneaking a peak at the pictures her mother kept hidden in a shoe box at the back of her closet. Ariana had always wondered about her father and what he would be like. She had a scrapbook of articles and newspaper clippings about the man her mother had talked about. The strong heroic fighter of bio terrorism. Finding him and being face to face didn’t seem real. His features were like hers and he didn’t even look old enough to be her father. Man, Ariana hoped she aged that well.

His voice was so gruff and not anything like she expected. It was more satisfying though to hear it instead of imagining it. So many nights she laid awake wondering what it would be like to have a father that read to her before bedtime or sang her to sleep.

It was him. It was truly him.

“Do you know a woman by the name of Josephine Rawlings?
I believe you knew her about 17 years ago.”

It’s how contently she’s staring him down that makes him more so curious about this young girl. Her expression is nervous— but also a sort of yearning. As if she has been waiting. However there are a few features about her that Leon is actually taking notice of. Giving him a sense of reorganization. But he just can’t seem to put a name and face together. It couldn’t have been the girl herself; she was much to young. But possibly an daughter of a old friend perhaps. Though he also can’t help but notice how closely that shade of blue of her eyes and the blonde of her hair completes with that of his own. It’s a pecking thought and idea that is placed in the back of his thoughts.

But still he had to question; not aloud, what was the girl doing out here looking for him? Well that question might have been answered when he hears the woman’s name. Yeah, he knew that name. Knew that face, it lined up in his mind like a slot machine. It was those little features on this girl that matched with the woman’s. Possibly Josephine’s daughter? Seventeen years ago was about right— right around the time the two split up from a rather broken relationship. The girl could pass about that age as well.

It’s a pecking thought and idea that comes back up.

Ah… yes. I do remember a woman by the name of Josephine Rawlings.

He also recalled the woman being a natural brunette as well. This girl was far from being an brunette; unless it was hair dyes. About 17 years ago. Yes.
